WESTERN CAROLINA UNIVERSITY

Western Carolina University was founded in 1889 with the ultimate goal of bringing higher education and career opportunities to the western region of North Carolina. Since its founding, WCU has grown to become a major cultural, scientific, and educational force in the region and the state. As a member of the University of North Carolina public educational system, WCU is the chosen university by more than 9,000 students from 46 states and 39 countries. The university’s mission is to provide student with a quality education in order to prepare them to be responsible citizens in our constantly changing world.

STUDY ABROAD

Since 2002, ILYC has organized trips to Spain in collaboration with WCU. A lot of students from this university have enjoyed Spain and the studies in the Spanish universities during our different programs.

Our programs for WCU students include:

• Academic program for learning Spanish or other subjects in prestigious Spanish universities.
• Activities such as visits to monuments, trips, etc.
• Options for volunteer activities.
