ACADEMIC PROGRAM
ILYC Summer Intensive Courses consist of a month of CILE or CILYC courses during June or July. Also, combinations are available that allow you to choose one month and a half or two months, linking these courses and their levels.
CILE (Intensive Spanish Language Course)
80 HOURS (June): FROM 1st JUNE TO 1st JULY, 2010. Level Test: 1st June
40 HOURS (July): FROM 2nd TO 16th JULY, 2010. Level Test: 2nd July
80 HOURS (July): FROM 2nd TO 30th JULY, 2010. Level Test: 2nd July
- Four levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Superior. Each level has two subdivisions (A and B).
- Four teaching hours per day.
- Students are placed in one of the eight levels according to the results of an initial placement test.
- The minimum number of students per group is 5 and the average number is usually 12.
OPTIONAL COURSE
One of the following subjects can be chosen by students to study at the same time as the the CILE course. They are optional and involve
20 more hours each:
- Business Spanish
- Spanish Civilization and Culture
- Conversation
CILYC (Intensive Spanish Language and Cultural Course)
80 HOURS (June): FROM 1st JUNE TO 1st JULY, 2010. Level Test: 1st June
80 HOURS (July): FROM 2nd TO 30th JULY, 2010. Level Test: 2nd July
- For summer period: June or July.
- 80 hours course.
- Language and the major topics of Spanish culture.
- First two hours of course focus on language and the following two hours are spent studying two subjects of the student's choice from the ten options available (please, click here to see the optional courses).
- Students must take a level test beforehand to show that they have an Intermediate A level of Spanish (or above).
- These courses are offered at three levels: Intermediate, Advanced and Superior.
- The course will be given as long as there is a minimum of 5 students.
