INTENSIVE SUMMER COURSES
ACADEMIC PROGRAM
ILYC Summer Intensive Courses consist on periods from 15 days to 3 months of CILE or CILYC courses from May to July. You also have the possibility of combining your courses with volunteer activities.CILE (Intensive Spanish Language Course)
CILYC (Intensive Spanish Language and Cultural Course)
CILE (Intensive Spanish Language Course)
- 8 different levels.
- Four teaching hours per day.
- CILE in June (80 hours): from 29th May to 30th June.
- CILE in July (80 hours): from 1st to 31st July.
OPTIONAL COURSES
You can add one of the following subjects (20 teaching hours each) to your CILE course:- Varieties of Spanish
- Latin America Literature
- Spanish Literature
- Geography of Spain
- History of Spain
- History of Art in Spain
- Spanish Civilization and Culture
- Islamic Culture in Spain
- Latin American Civilization and Culture
- Conversation Practice
CILYC (Intensive Spanish Language and Cultural Course)
- Language and the major topics of Spanish culture.
- Students must take a level test beforehand to show that they have an Intermediate level of Spanish or above.
- These courses are offered at three levels: Intermediate, Advanced and Superior.
- CILYC in June (80 hours): from 29th May to 30th June.
- CILYC in July (80 hours): from 1st to 31st July.

Students must choose 80 hours amongst the following subjects:1. Spanish Language (40 hours)
2. Latin American Literature (20 hours)
3. Spanish Literature (20 hours)
4. Geography of Spain (20 hours)
5. History of Spain (20 hours)
6. History of Art in Spain (20 hours)
7. Spanish Civilization and Culture (20 hours)
8. Islamic Culture in Spain (20 hours)
9. Latin American Civilization and Culture (20 hours)
10. Varieties of Spanish (20 hours)
11. An Introduction to Business Spanish (20 hours)
The student may obtain a certificate for one 40-hour subject by choosing two subjects from the same group (2 and 3), (4 and 5), (6 and 7), (6 and 8), (7 and 8), (9 and 10), (9 and 11) or (10 and 11).
