SPRING PROGRAM'12

ACADEMIC PROGRAM

We offer three different possibilities for the Semester:
1. If you are in a beginner or lower intermediate level, we recommend you to choose the Intensive Language Program, which includes three months of Spanish lessons with a total duration of 220 hours.
2. For students with intermediate and advanced levels, we recommend the Early Spring Program, which includes an Intensive Spanish Language Course (CILE) in January followed by the Spanish Language and Culture Course (CLCE) for those who are in an intermediate level, or the Hispanic Studies Course, for those who have a good command of Spanish.
3. For students with intermediate and advanced level  of Spanish who are not able to start the program in January, we provide the Standard Spring Program from February to May, which includes the Spanish Language and Culture Course (CLCE) or the Hispanic Studies Course (CEH).

CILE (Intensive Spanish Language Course)

  • Designed for those students who wish to start learning or improve their Spanish during a short stay in our country.
  • 4 teaching hours per day from Monday to Friday.
  • 60 hours: from 8th to 30th January, 2012.
  • 220 hours: from 8th January to 30th March, 2012.

CLCE (Spanish Language and Culture Course)

  • Aimed at students who wish to acquire a wider knowledge of Spanish whilst learning about some of the main features of Spanish history and culture.
  • To take this course, students require prior knowledge of Spanish (have passed level B1.1 – intermediate).
  • Each subject involves 45 teaching hours, 3 hours per day from Monday to Thursday.
  • 225 hours: from 2nd February to 25th May, 2012.

5 of the subjects in the attached document may be selected. Those marked with an * are compulsory.

CEH (Hispanic Studies Course)

  • Aimed at students who wish to acquire a deeper knowledge of Spanish language and culture.
  • Students must already have a high command of Spanish to be able to follow these subjects (have passed level B2.1 – Advanced).
  • Each subject involves 45 teaching hours, 3 hours per day from Monday to Thursday.
  • 225 hours: from 2nd February to 25th May, 2012.

At least 4 of the subjects of the attached document may be selected. Those marked with an * are compulsory.

FULL YEAR

We also organize courses for the full year including a CILE course in September, plus CLCE and CEH courses during the Fall and Spring semesters respectively.
Students who successfully complete two semesters will be entitled to receive the Diploma in Hispanic Studies.
